Speaking of July 4th:

Families have been silenced! Why? Because fracking companies bought their silence. All over the US from Wyoming to Arkansas, Pennsylvania to Texas, hydraulic fracturing has ruined drinking water, made people sick, killed livestock, pets, & farm animals. People have then been forced into horrendous “agreements” with drillers. Agreements in which they’ve had to surrender their right to speak about what’s been done to them… just to survive.

I’m asking you to remember our good friend, Pete Seeger and… hop on the Bus of Freedom to #SingForTheSilenced:

Drive to Montrose PA on Sunday, July 19. Vera Scroggins will be leading a bus tour of fracking sites.

me with pete seegerMeet us at noon at the Price Chopper parking lot, 16750 Rts 706 Montrose, PA , 18801. This is a rare opportunity to see what really going on.

And then, at 3 PM, we’ll have a concert and giant puppet show right off the bus at Momument Square Park in Montrose! Fred Gillen Jr., Amy Fradon, the Wonderful EarthTones and I will be there to sing and lead you in song.

Let’s Sing for the Silenced and share a joyful day in the process.
