Growing Up in the Woodstock Generation

Marc Black, NY Blues Hall of Fame inductee, will be your guide for a trip through those memorable and colorful decades, joyfully woven together in song.  This two person show is a multi-media and multi-dimensional presentation in song, storytelling and plenty of laughter.

Like our History of the 1950’s and 60’s through Popular Song, this powerful show focuses on the intersection of popular music and American culture.

It’s all about coming together, joyously riding on the wings of some great songs.  Songs that will remind you what it was like to come of age in that colorful time that we all recognize as the Woodstock Generation.  So many ups and downs,  excitement and heartbreak.  Spiritual quests and long hair everywhere.

The evening also features personal stories by Marc who’s high school band hit the top 40 while touring with the Doors, Neil Diamond and Van Morrison... as well as a sparkling multi-media presentation by Susan Black.  All the songs will be performed by Marc on his treasured guitar of 50 years, Claudette.
